Drummer Karl Latham's career has spanned the globe performing, recording and producing with Grammy Award winning artists, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members and multitude of internationally acclaimed musicians. Karl is best known for his exceptional ability to dig into a variety of musical styles. Karl was included in the Drummerworld Top Drummers list. In addition to performing as a freelance drummer, Karl can be heard leading his own group “Living Standards”, as a co-leader of Big Fun(K) with saxophonist/composer Don Braden, as well as, performing with the John Lee Quartet, Dizzy Gillepsie Afro-Latin Experience, Dizzy Gillespie Alumni All-Stars, Wolfgang Lackerschmid and serving as Musical Director for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group, The Shirelles.
Karl has also subbed on the Broadway productions of "Bring It On", "Hamilton", Beautiful: The Carole King Musical", "Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations" and "Two Strangers".
Karl is a proud endorsing artist for Yamaha Drums, Paiste Cymbals, Evans Drumheads, ProMark Drumsticks, RME, AEA Ribbon Microphones, Radial Engineering, Heil Microphones, Prologix Percussion and Big Fat Snare.
Karl is a Warwick, New York based private drum instructor and an Adjunct Music Instructor at Drew University, County College of Morris and Raritan Valley Community College.
Karl is the current Co-Chairman of the Percussive Arts Society Education Committee.
